AO Spine Principles Level Specimen Course - Decompression and Instrumentation of the Spine

Welcome to this 2-day hands-on specimen principles course. The focus of the course will be on the basic instrumentation and decompression techniques of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar Spine.

Cadaveric hands-on exericise

Workshop A: Lumbar pedicle screws 

Workshop B: Thoracic pedicle screws 

Workshop C: Percutaneous thoracolumbar pedicle screws 

Workshop D: Lumbar decompression / discectomy

Workshop E: Lateral Mass and C7/T1 pedicle screws

Workshop F: C1-2 screws and occipital plate

Workshop G: Thoracic/cervical decompression 

Workshop H: ACDF

Learning objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Insert pedicle screws in the thoracic and lumbar spine, open and percutaneous technique.
  • Insert lateral mass screws, cervical spine.
  • Insert C1-C2 screws, cervical spine.
  • Posterior decompression of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.
  • Anterior decompression and fusion of the cervical spine.

European CME accreditation 

An application has been made to the UEMS-EACCME® in Brussels for European CME credits (ECMEC).

 

Registration Fee  

Spine Member: EUR 1,215.

Non member: EUR 1,350.

Included in the registration fee are course materials, coffee- and lunch breaks, a course dinner and course certificate.

Cancellation policy: 50% until 30 days before the event. No refund thereafter.
